Multiple Floating Solar concepts were analyzed in a qualitative assessment during support of TNO’s reviewing process towards HKN.
An MCA was performed for five different concepts to evaluate the feasibility in different aspects; the floaters robustness, the interconnections’ robustness, the mooring systems robustness, risk of fouling, access and egress and finally the required footprint area. By doing this, we supported TNO with technical evaluation of the system based on our broad experience with complex offshore systems.
